The Role

We are looking for experienced Personal Care Workers to join our Gladswood Lodge residential aged care home in Brunswick West. Gladswood Lodge is a welcoming home supporting older Victorians with person-centred care, dignity and genuine connection.

We currently have multiple permanent part-time roster lines available across AM and PM shifts. Please review the roster lines below and indicate your preferred line in your application.

Roster Line 1 – 38 hours per fortnight / 0.5 FTE

Week 1: Tuesday AM, Wednesday AM, Thursday AM

Week 2: Wednesday AM, Thursday AM

Roster Line 2 – 45.6 hours per fortnight / 0.6 FTE

Week 1: Wednesday PM, Thursday PM, Friday PM

Week 2: Thursday PM, Friday PM, Saturday PM

Roster Line 3 – 45.6 hours per fortnight / 0.6 FTE

Week 1: Tuesday PM, Wednesday PM, Thursday PM, Friday PM

Week 2: Wednesday PM, Thursday PM

Our Personal Care Workers:

• Assist residents with daily activities according to their needs and choices
• Observe and report any changes in resident condition to the Nurse on shift
• Plan and support residents with social and lifestyle activities within the home
• Document information including all required charting and progress notes
• Spend time with the residents to connect, share stories and show empathy

About you

• Completed or currently studying a Cert III or higher in Individual Support or a related qualification. If you have completed the first year of your nursing studies, and have completed your placements, you will be a qualified Care Worker
• Experience working in an aged care environment
• A genuine passion for caring and ability to build rapport with clients
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Respect for all, regardless of background, gender, age, religion, race, or sexual orientation
• A current NDIS Worker Screening Check or ability to obtain
