About the Role

As a Community Support Worker, you will provide personalised support that helps older people maintain their independence, wellbeing, and connection to their community.

You'll visit clients in their homes and community settings, delivering practical support and companionship that improves quality of life.


Your Key Responsibilities

Personal Care

  • Showering, dressing, grooming and toileting support
  • Assistance with eating and drinking where required

Domestic Assistance

  • General household cleaning
  • Laundry, linen changes and household maintenance tasks

Social Support & Respite

  • Providing companionship and emotional support
  • Supporting clients to attend social and recreational activities
  • Assisting with day-to-day activities in line with care plans

Wellness & Independence

  • Supporting clients to achieve their personal goals
  • Encouraging independence through a strengths-based, reablement approach
  • Monitoring and reporting changes in client wellbeing

Administration

  • Maintain accurate client records and documentation
  • Complete required reporting and training activities
