Brisbane Community - Based Personal Care Worker

Join our dedicated team of Community Angels at Angels in Aprons! In this casual role, you will provide compassionate, high-quality in-home care and support to elderly and disabled participants across Brisbane.

What you'll be doing

• Assisting participants with personal care activities such as bathing, grooming, and dressing
• Providing domestic assistance like light housekeeping, laundry, and meal preparation
• Accompanying participants to appointments and outings, offering companionship and engaging in social activities
• Overnight care
• Monitoring participants' health and wellbeing, and reporting any changes or concerns to the care team
• Adhering to all relevant policies, procedures, and safety standards to ensure the highest quality of care

What we're looking for

• A Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing, Home and Community) or equivalent qualification
• Experience providing personal care and support services to elderly or disabled clients in a community setting
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trusting relationships with participants
• A caring, patient, and empathetic approach, and a genuine desire to make a positive difference in people's lives
• A valid driver's license and access to reliable transportation
• Current First Aid & CPR certificates, and NDIS Worker Screening Clearance and/or National Police Check
