The Role 

We are seeking a Personal Care Worker who share our passion for person-centred care. It is essential that you understand the residential aged care environment and the standards we uphold, and that you bring a high level of empathy and compassion to every interaction. Working Part-Time, you will support residents with personal care, comfort, mobility, and safety during weekday night shifts in our 83-bed home, working closely with the Registered Nurses and reporting to the Manager.

What you will do 

The Personal Care Worker is responsible for ensuring: 

• Personal care is provided in accordance with each resident's needs and preferences such as personal hygiene, continence care, mobility, eating & drinking etc. 
• Clinical Care such as medication support, basic dressings, and wound care, measuring vital signs etc 
• Social and recreational support such as assisting residents' family and visitors and assisting residents attending activities. 
• Domestic services such as cleaning and serving meals, 
• Assessment and care planning such as completing care documentation, including progress notes and daily charts 

   Who are you and what will you bring? 

• Minimum Cert III in Aged Care or equivalent (or enrolled in same) 
• Experience in providing daily care and activities to clients 
• Experience in working in an Aged Care setting 
• Currently hold and maintain an NDIS Worker Clearance (or willing to obtain) 
• Be passionate about delivering a person-centered approach to care 
• Demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills
