JOB DESCRIPTION – PERSONAL CAREGIVER (PRIVATE HOME)

Position Title: Personal Caregiver
Location: Peterborough, ON
Employment Type: Part-time (Private Home Care)
Start Date: As soon as possible
Schedule: Twice per week, fluctuating weekdays, 8:30 AM – 10:30 AM
Compensation: As per agency rate

REQUIREMENTS

• Previous experience in personal care, home care, or caregiving roles (preferred)
• Comfort with providing intimate personal care
• Ability to follow patient- and family-directed care plans and instructions
• COVID-19 vaccination not required for this position
• No interview with family or HomecareHub required prior to assignment

• Administer suppository as instructed by the family
• Provide assistance during continence care, including clean-up after bowel movements
• Support with catheter care as needed (patient primarily self-manages; caregiver assists with required items)
• Follow family-provided training and care instructions
• Maintain a safe, hygienic, and respectful care environment
• Communicate any concerns regarding health or care to the family
