Description

We are seeking a compassionate, reliable, and respectful Care Assistant to provide dedicated, one-on-one care in the client’s home. The role involves supporting an individual with daily living tasks, personal care, and overall wellbeing to ensure they can live comfortably and safely in their own home.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist with personal care
Support with mobility and transfers in the home, using aids if required
Prompt or administer medication as directed and in line with care plan
Accompany client to medical appointments or social activities as needed
Ensure a safe, clean, and comfortable home environment
Maintain privacy, dignity, and confidentiality at all times
Requirements:
Kind, patient, and trustworthy with a genuine desire to help others
Experience in a similar in-home or one-to-one care role (preferred)
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and use initiative
Strong attention to detail and commitment to high standards of care
Willingness to undergo Garda vetting / background checks
Relevant training or qualifications (e.g. QQI Level 5 Healthcare Support) are an advantage
Valid driver’s license (if travel or errands are required)
Working Conditions:
Role is based in a private home
Flexible hours may be required, including evenings, weekends, or overnight stays depending on client needs
