WHAT YOU’LL BRING
You will play an important role in ensuring the student experience is of the highest quality and that the students engage with it.
You will support students of all backgrounds and abilities to broaden their experiences and take advantage of opportunities from a college-wide perspective and beyond, developing their skills in the workforce or further study, and bringing an understanding of Modern British Values into their future lives.
You should be passionate about students achieving their potential and be proactive in putting the mechanisms of support in place to make sure we prepare students not only for college life but also for life and work beyond college.
You will be responsible for looking after tutor groups, delivering group tutorials, meeting with students on a 1-1 basis (where appropriate), supporting attendance and liaising with parents/guardians.
The ideal candidate will have experience and a passion for the pastoral care of students and be able to signpost students to the most appropriate support mechanism efficiently.
This post will have a training/induction period and then ongoing training throughout your time with the college to ensure we maintain the highest standards of education for our students and professional development for our staff.
