The Personal Financial Services (PFS) intern provides broad exposure to business processes, client support activities, and operational workflows that support personal financial products and services. Reporting to the Manager, New Business Support, the intern will work closely with members of the PFS organization and supporting teams, contributing to daily activities while developing professional skills in a collaborative environment. This internship is designed to be flexible and learning‑focused. Responsibilities may evolve over time based on business needs and learning objectives. What You’ll Do Support daily activities within the Personal Financial Services organization Assist with organizing, tracking, and maintaining information across systems and reports Help prepare documentation, trackers, and internal communications Respond to routine internal inquiries in a timely and professional manner Participate in team initiatives and special projects supporting PFS objectives Collaborate with cross‑functional partners to support effective service delivery Follow department procedures, data standards, and confidentiality guidelines Build an understanding of how financial services teams support clients and business partners What You’ll Learn Exposure to Personal Financial Services operations within a financial services environment How internal teams collaborate to support financial products and client needs Professional communication, organization, and time‑management skills Foundational understanding of business workflows and process execution Required Qualifications Currently pursuing or recently completed a bachelor’s degree (business, finance, economics, or related field preferred) Strong written and verbal communication skills Comfortable working with Microsoft Office tools, including Excel and Outlook Detail‑oriented, organized, and eager to learn Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced, professional environment Preferred Qualities Interest in financial services or business operations Team‑oriented with a positive, flexible attitude Strong analytical and problem‑solving mindset Curiosity and willingness to learn new concepts and processes Passion for delivering high‑quality work and supporting team goals Internship Experience Supportive team environment with ongoing guidance and mentorship Exposure to real business operations within Personal Financial Services Opportunities to develop professional skills that complement academic learning Meaningful work that contributes to team and organizational objectives About Manulife and John Hancock Manulife Financial Corporation is a leading international financial services provider, helping people make their decisions easier and lives better.
