TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE

  • A good understanding of the core legal process in all types of personal injury claims.
  • A good understanding of the Rehabilitation Code and the application to major trauma cases
  • Knowledge and experience of the law affecting road traffic accidents claims, work accidents and accidents in a public place.

ROLE PURPOSE

To support the delivery of high-quality legal services to clients who have sustained serious or life-changing injuries. You will assist in progressing personal injury claims efficiently and compassionately, working under supervision on a varied caseload while developing legal expertise and client care skills. The role contributes to securing positive outcomes for clients and upholding the firm’s reputation for excellence and integrity.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support clients with life-changing injuries as part of a collaborative legal team
  • Support lead lawyers with varied caseloads of RTA, EL, and PL serious injury claims
  • Liaise with clients directly and coordinate file setup with onboarding
  • Investigate and assess new claims, gather evidence, and calculate damages
  • Advise clients on legal issues, manage expectations, and negotiate settlements
  • Draft legal documents including court pleadings, witness statements, and Schedules of Loss
  • Prepare and issue court proceedings, and manage litigation through to resolution
  • Maintain files and handle all related case correspondence and diary entries
  • Ensure compliance with professional and regulatory standards
  • Stay up to date with legal developments and complete required CPD
  • Contribute to business development and support departmental goals
