At Salehi Law we specialize in plaintiff personal injury litigation with a focus primarily on motor vehicle accidents, slip/trip & fall incidents, and long-term disability claims. We are actively looking for two associates with strong legal skills to join our team. Our office is located near the intersection of Don Mills Road and Eglinton Avenue in Toronto. The ideal candidates will have the opportunity to take responsibility for many aspects within the field of personal injury law.

REQUIREMENTS:

Be a valid member of the Law Society of Ontario
Have at least 2 years of practice in personal injury law (experience with Plaintiff and/or Defence litigation)

Must be able to have a sound understanding of Accident Benefits and possess strong knowledge in Tort claims as it pertains to Motor Vehicle Accidents and Slip/Trip & Fall incidents.

• In terms of Tort claims (3rd Party claims) : the ideal candidate must be comfortable drafting pleadings (statement of claim), drafting motion materials and attending motions court, attending examinations for discovery, drafting mediation memorandums, attending mediations, setting matters down for trial, drafting pre-trial conference memorandums, attending pre-trial conferences, and settling claims.

• This position is mostly geared towards managing Tort claims however knowledge in Accident Benefits is also required.

  Must be able to comfortably manage and have carriage of numerous claims at once.
  Must have the ability to demonstrate sound judgement, a keen eye for detail and tenacity for solving complex problems.
  Must have analytical skills utilizing their knowledge of the law for sound decision-making
  Must have a keen interest and be confidently able to settle claims.
  Job Type: Full time position
  Salary: Ranges from $80,000 - $120,000 per year plus a lucrative year-end bonus structure.
