A mid-sized law firm located south of Calgary is seeking a senior legal assistant with a strong background in Plaintiff personal injury

AS OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE, YOU WILL HAVE THE FOLLOWING QUALIFICATIONS:

· Legal Assistant Diploma from a recognized post‐secondary institution
· Seven to twelve years of experience as a Legal Assistant in Plaintiff personal injury
· Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to deal directly with clients
· Excellent attention to detail, highly organized and proactive
· Highly proficient in MS Office and ability to learn new software and technology quickly
· Perform well under pressure with tight deadlines and completes repetitive tasks with accuracy
· Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
· Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple deadlines.
· Professional demeanor and ability to maintain client confidentiality.

Responsibilities

· Assist lawyers in the preparation and filing of litigation documents and pleadings.
· Manage and organize client files, ensuring all documents are accurately maintained and up to date.
· Assist lawyers in trial preparation, including organizing exhibits, witness lists, and trial binders.
· Organize and expedite the flow of work through the lawyer’s practice, initiating any follow‐up action as appropriate
· Co‐ordinate flow of documents between legal professionals and clients at all levels
· Work proactively in the day-to-day support of the legal professionals’ practice
· Provide general administrative support, including answering phone calls, taking messages, and managing emails.
· Collaborate with other legal assistants and support staff to ensure efficient workflow and practice group coordination.
· Other duties as assigned
