Description JOB TITLE: Personal Injury Operations Associate REPORTS TO: Head of Personal Injury JOB SCOPE: Brainstim Centers, Inc., owned by neurosurgeon, Dr. Mark Liker, conducts transcranial magnetic stimulation to help alleviate the discomfort of neural network dysfunctions such as depression, anxiety, post concussive syndrome, post-traumatic stress and additional concerns. We do serve injury patients and are looking for a highly motivated professional to serve as a Personal Injury Operations Associate. This individual will play a key role in accomplishing both long and short-term goals of the business. This role will support the growth and goals of our personal injury department. This is an essential business role with room for measured growth that requires a steady, supportive, seasoned professional with a warm approach, process management experience, attention to detail, operational expertise, and preferably experience working in healthcare or law. This individual will report to Sonja Hillman Suchy, Head of Personal Injury and Human Resources. This is a predominantly remote role with occasional meetings or training in office. MAJOR JOB DUTIES: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to execute each major duty satisfactorily. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Measured and consistent attention to detail Warm, empathetic communication Hands on involvement and reporting on process of PI patient treatment Thoughtful communication with team and with case managers Time sensitive communication with law firm staff Takes direction well, and is comfortable with ambiguity Schedules patients and works with case managers Adept at understanding new scientific concepts and explaining them to others Communication with personal injury patients and case managers Supportive, professional demeanor with patients and with case managers Monitors patient process and reports to management Advises management on gaps, optimization techniques Demonstrable process management experience Skill with technology and software, specifically excel skills May be responsible for subpoena process, signing and managing subpoenas Creates invoices and collaborates on billing process REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Collaborative, with demonstrable experience of successful management of projects and tasks The ability to take direction, and to communicate supportively and professionally Responsive to business needs, embodying time sensitivity, humility and patience Self-motivated, with attention to detail Aptitude for of medical, neurological, and psychiatric terminology Excellent ability to communicate effectively and in a manner that de-escalates tense situations Positive worker who works well with coworkers and management Demonstrates creativity and flexibility in all aspects of job Problem solver, able to swiftly identify and address concerns Intrinsically motivated, able to prioritize SUPERVISORY ABILITIES: None but may advise on procedural needs with patients EDUCATION OR EXPERIENCE: Bachelor’s degree.
