Due to recent growth/acquisitions, Lawley is in search of a Personal Insurance Marketer for their Buffalo or Rochester, NY office! This person would be responsible for submitting, negotiating, and placing new business and renewal accounts with key clients. Along with establishing and recommending coverage by the line of business in accordance with established guidelines. The ideal candidate has at least five years of experience in a similar or related position and relevant knowledge of personal insurance products, underwriting procedures, and insurance documents. Fundamental Components of the Job:

  • Submitting, negotiating and placing new business and renewal accounts with key clients.
  • Establishing and recommending coverage by line of business in accordance with established guidelines.
  • Identifying competitive markets and submitting internal and/or external markets for quotes.
  • Preparing organized summaries and quotes for all markets within 2 days of completion of process.
  • Updating applications based on coverages sold, issuing binders and ordering policies within 24 hours.
  • Maintaining complete and accurate documentation of all takes in computer system.
  • Acting as a resource for assigned markets and participating in projects as needed
  • Other functions of the job: Expand and grow in your role when supporting miscellaneous duties as requested.

  • The compensation range for this position takes many factors into consideration including but not limited to: years of experience/training, skill set, and licenses/designations. It is not typical for an individual to be hired near the top of the range for a position as circumstances and location can vary in every hiring situation. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $51,498.15 to $85,830.25.

Responsibilities
  • At least five years of experience in a similar or related position.
  • Relevant knowledge of personal insurance products, underwriting procedures, and insurance documents.
  • Microsoft Office experience and skills are a must; EPIC experience highly desired.
  • Incredible attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Property/Casualty License; designations preferred.
  • Ability to work well independently and on a team.
  • Open to continuing education, college degree preferred.
  • Positive attitude, even in a fast-paced environment.
