Summary of Essential Responsibilities:
The Personal Lines Underwriter will be responsible for developing and maintaining a profitable book of business, including development and execution of an ongoing marketing plan to drive new and renewal business. Responsibilities involve conducting accurate and thorough risk selection through evaluation, classification, and rating to determine acceptability, coverage, and pricing. Develop and submit underwriting referrals as needed, and responsible for achieving key metrics such as new business hit ratio and renewal retention, while monitoring accounts to ensure compliance with policies and file documentation standards and maintaining underwriting authority level standards.
At Gorst & Compass relationships are key! Responsibilities include creating and maintaining external relationships with agents and carrier partners to provide superior service experience. While fostering internal partnerships across all levels of Gorst & Compass and providing support with mentoring and developing others.
