OVERVIEW

We are seeking an experienced Personal Safety / Conflict Management Trainer to work with our team on a temporary consulting basis. This role involves the design of digital training that will help frontline railway professionals de-escalate conflict, manage aggressive and challenging behaviour, and build confidence.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Recent and extensive experience designing and/or delivering personal safety and conflict management training.
• Up-to-date, practical personal safety and conflict resolution knowledge.
• Recognised qualification in education, training, or equivalent.
• You must be willing and capable of writing detailed training guides from scratch, which our team can translate into digital training materials.
• Proficient with Microsoft 365 suite.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills. You should be able to explain complex concepts to others clearly and efficiently.

DESIRED REQUIREMENTS:

• Experience/knowledge of personal safety training in the rail and/or bus sectors.
• Experience designing new or custom training programmes.
• Experience/knowledge of supporting victims of personal safety incidents, including Violence Against Women and Girls (VAWG).
• Experience/Knowledge of training accreditation processes.

• Draft relevant content and training guides, drawing on your knowledge, expertise, and industry best practice.
• Draft realistic scenario-based learning exercises and learner evaluation criteria.
• Review samples of learner assessments and provide detailed feedback.
• Act as a subject matter expert, assisting our team to design and build effective digital learning experiences.
• Assist our team in analysing and interpreting client requirements, helping us to design relevant and impactful training modules.
• Occasional travel may be required to meet client stakeholders (all costs covered).
