JOB SUMMARY

Champlain Gardens is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide essential care and support to our residents, This role requires a strong commitment to enhancing the quality of life for our residents through personalized care and assistance.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Previous experience in home care, hospice care, or caregiving is preferred.
  • Knowledge of patient care practices, including medication administration and basic nursing skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards in caregiving.
  • Physical stamina to perform tasks that may require lifting or assisting clients with mobility.
  • A genuine passion for helping others and improving their quality of life is essential.

  • Offer companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive environment.
  • Assist with mobility and transportation needs, ensuring safety at all times.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in the living space of clients.
  • Document care provided and report any significant changes in client health or behavior to appropriate personnel.
  • Support clients with dementia care by engaging them in activities that stimulate cognitive function.
