JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to join our team. This role is essential in providing high-quality care and support to individuals in various settings, including nursing homes, assisted living facilities, and hospice care. The ideal candidate will have experience in senior care, dementia care, and working with individuals with disabilities. REQUIREMENTS

  • Previous experience in nursing homes, senior care, or caregiving is preferred.
  • Knowledge of hospice care practices is a plus.
  • Experience working with individuals with disabilities is desirable.
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting as required by client needs.
  • Strong communication skills and a compassionate demeanor.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team while also being self-motivated.

Responsibilities
  • Provide compassionate support and assistance to clients in daily living activities.
  • Assist with personal care tasks including bathing, grooming, and dressing.
  • Help clients with mobility and transfers, ensuring their safety during heavy lifting.
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients by performing light housekeeping duties.
  • Monitor clients’ health and report any changes or concerns to the appropriate staff.
  • Engage clients in social activities to promote mental well-being and companionship.
  • Support individuals with dementia or other cognitive impairments through tailored activities.
  • Collaborate with nursing staff to ensure comprehensive patient care.
