OVERVIEW

We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Support Workers to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to individuals in various settings, including group homes, assisted living facilities, and within the community. Your primary focus will be on enhancing the quality of life for those you care for by assisting with daily living activities and fostering a supportive environment.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Previous experience in caregiving or support roles such as home health aide, nursing assistant, or social work is preferred.
  • Familiarity with patient observation techniques and monitoring vital signs is essential.
  • Knowledge of first aid and CPR is required; certifications are a plus.
  • Experience working with individuals with disabilities, including autism or other developmental challenges, is highly desirable.
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary (e.g., using Hoyer lifts).
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with clients and their families.
  • A commitment to providing compassionate care while respecting the dignity of each individual.

Responsibilities
  • Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation.
  • Provide personal care and support to individuals with diverse needs, including those with developmental disabilities, Alzheimer’s disease, and dementia.
  • Monitor and document patient vital signs and changes in condition while ensuring adherence to care plans.
  • Engage clients in meaningful activities that promote social interaction and cognitive stimulation.
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping tasks and ensuring hygiene standards are met.
  • Assist with medication administration as per prescribed guidelines while adhering to HIPAA regulations.
  • Support clients during transportation to appointments or community outings as needed.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care delivery and participate in team meetings as required.
