WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

  • Must have reliable transportation; this includes a valid Ontario Driver’s License and automobile insurance
  • Day or evening availability with ability to work alternating weekends.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English (includes reading, writing and conversing).
  • Experience working in a home care or similar environment is preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Empathy, patience, and the ability to work with individuals with diverse needs.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Previous experience working with elderly is considered asset.

ABOUT THE ROLE:

RNS Health Care is currently seeking compassionate and dedicated Personal Support Workers (PSWs) to join our home healthcare team. As a PSW, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to individuals in the comfort of their own homes. A DAY TO DAY LOOK AT THE ROLE:

  • Assist clients with their personal care needs, including bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting.
  • Provide assistance with mobility and transfers, ensuring client safety and well-being.
  • Perform light housekeeping tasks such as tidying up, laundry, and maintaining a clean and organized living environment for clients.
  • Engage clients in meaningful activities and provide companionship.
  • Observe and report any changes in clients’ physical or mental condition to the appropriate healthcare professionals.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of care provided and complete necessary reports.
