At EdenCare Support Services, we are dedicated to improving the health and well-being of individuals with disabilities. We’re currently looking for compassionate, reliable, and energetic Support Workers to provide specialized care for non-verbal autism (level 3) clients.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Qualification in Individual Support/Disability Support
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain)
  • Employee Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain)
  • Current First Aid and CPR Certificates (or willingness to obtain)
  • National Police Check (or willingness to obtain)
  • Driver’s license and reliable vehicle (required)
  • Eligibility to work in Australia

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Certificate III/IV in Disability or Mental Health
  • Experience with non-verbal autism and personal care

SKILLS & COMPETENCIES:

  • Excellent communication skills and ability to adjust to different audiences
  • Strong teamwork and organizational skills
  • Attention to detail and ability to complete administrative duties efficiently
  • Patience and empathy in dealing with complex behaviors
Responsibilities

PURPOSE OF ROLE:

To provide high-quality support services that help our clients build routines, improve life skills, and engage with their community. The role focuses on assisting non-verbal autism clients, helping them thrive in daily life activities through personal care and routine support.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ensure the safety and well-being of clients at all times
  • Support community access and capacity-building activities tailored to the client’s needs
  • Assist with personal care, such as toileting and meal feeding (if required)
  • Facilitate communication between family members and service providers
  • Assist with light cleaning and administrative tasks
  • Provide medication support (if required and appropriately qualified)
