We are looking for empowering and attentive people. Our Personal Support Worker will:

  • Be an effective communicator with well-developed interpersonal skills, particularly with an understanding, sensitivity and respect to participant’s abilities, strengths and circumstances.
  • Enjoy helping others achieve their goals and personal growth.
  • Be an efficient organiser, able to maintain and update programs, file notes and documents as required.
  • Be able to support a wide range of clients with their own individualised requirements.
Responsibilities

As a Personal Support Worker, you will but not limited to:

  • Assist clients in undertaking a range of activities of daily living including personal and self-care, food preparation, eating, dressing and maintenance of personal hygiene, domestic duties and other tasks as directed.
  • Assisting in community access through transport, shopping, and social outings.
  • Undertake the support role with respect and acknowledgement of the person’s’ abilities and strengths.
  • Provide clients with opportunities for personal growth and skill development in line with Support Plans and directions from the coordination team.
  • Perform personal support work with professional integrity and ensure privacy and confidentiality of client information.
