QUALIFICATIONS

• Documented completion of a Vulnerable Sector Check.
• Candidates must meet tuberculosis screening requirements per legislative guidelines.
• Preferred experience in healthcare, caregiving, or personal care roles.
• Knowledge of medical terminology, basic patient care procedures, and medication administration is a plus.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle sensitive information with professionalism and confidentiality.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

PREFERRED SKILLS

• Medical terminology and basic health monitoring.
• Case management and familiarity with healthcare software.
• Experience with home care, hospital care, hospice care, or dementia care.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Compassionate demeanor and dedication to promoting dignity and independence for clients.

• Provide compassionate, direct support and care to patients in Long Term Care Homes
• Assist clients with daily activities such as personal hygiene (bathing, grooming, and dressing), eating, and mobility.
• Help ensure proper nutrition and assist with feeding when necessary.
• Perform light housekeeping to maintain a clean and safe living environment for clients.
• Provide emotional support, companionship, and engage clients in activities to promote cognitive function and overall well-being.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement personalized care plans.
• Document care provided and report concerns or changes to the supervising nurse.
