POSITION SUMMARY: Using their knowledge and skills, the Personal Support Worker (PSW) will act as an ambassador of Idlewyld Manor, a supporter of the Nursing Program yearly goals, a participant of the interdisciplinary health team, and an advocate for the resident and family. EMPLOYMENT GUIDE: Must have successfully completed a Personal Support Worker (PSW) program and obtained certification that meets the program requirements set by the Ministry of Colleges and Universities for an Ontario postsecondary institution or district school board to issue a personal support worker certificate. Experience in a long term care setting with specific knowledge/skills in current geriatric nursing care and standards preferred. The ability to empathize with people with physical and emotional needs is essential. Must be able to take direction and work independently as well as part of a team. The successful candidate will be required to submit a Vulnerable Sector Police Check and a medical clearance. French Language skills are an Asset Want to learn more about Idlewyld Manor?
