JOB DESCRIPTION

Limacare is seeking compassionate and reliable Personal Support Workers (Independent Contractors) to provide in-home care to clients across Markham and Pickering. This is a community-based role — contractors will travel to clients’ homes to provide personalized support.
As an independent contractor, you will have the flexibility to accept assignments based on your availability.

Experience and Qualifications

• Personal Support Worker (PSW) certificate or equivalent experience
• Previous caregiving experience in home care, long-term care, or hospital settings (preferred)
• Valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle (required)
• Must reside in or near Markham or Pickering
• CPR/First Aid certification (asset)
• Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting and transfers
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Compassionate, reliable, and professiona

• Assist clients with activities of daily living (bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting)
• Provide companionship and emotional support
• Support safe mobility, transfers, and ambulation
• Assist with meal preparation and light housekeeping
• Monitor and report changes in clients’ health or behavior
• Follow care plans and maintain client dignity and respect
• Drive to client homes in Markham and Pickering for scheduled shifts
