We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to provide services in the Williamstown and Lancaster area. The ideal candidate will provide essential assistance to individuals in need, ensuring their comfort and well-being in various settings, including nursing homes, senior care facilities, and hospice care environments. This role requires a commitment to delivering high-quality patient care while demonstrating empathy and respect for those we serve.

EXPERIENCE

Candidates should possess the following skills and experience:

• Previous experience in patient care or related fields such as nursing homes or senior care is preferred.
• Familiarity with medication administration protocols is advantageous.
• Experience working with individuals with disabilities or in hospice care settings is a plus.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
• A compassionate approach towards providing support to individuals facing various challenges, including dementia care.

As a Support Worker, your responsibilities will include:

• Assisting with meal preparation to ensure proper nutrition for clients.
• Administering medication as prescribed and monitoring clients for any side effects or changes in condition.
• Providing personal care to patients, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
• Supporting individuals with disabilities by helping them engage in daily activities and promoting independence.
• Performing heavy lifting as necessary to assist clients with mobility or transfers.
• Maintaining a clean and safe environment for clients by adhering to hygiene and safety protocols.
• Offering companionship and emotional support to enhance the quality of life for those in your care.
• Assisting clients with dementia care by employing appropriate communication techniques and activities tailored to their needs.
