JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to join our team. REQUIREMENTS

  • Experience in assisted living, nursing homes, or working with persons with disabilities is preferred.
  • PSW certificate
  • Covid-19 vaccine receipts
  • Vulnerable sector check (6 months)
  • TB test/Chest x-ray
  • CPR certificate

Responsibilities
  • Assist clients with personal care tasks, including bathing, grooming, and dressing.
  • Provide support in meal preparation and ensure dietary needs are met.
  • Help clients with mobility and physical activities, including heavy lifting when necessary.
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients by performing light housekeeping duties.
  • Offer companionship and emotional support to enhance the quality of life for clients.
  • Document client progress and report any changes in health or behavior to the appropriate personnel.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement care plans tailored to individual needs.
  • Assist with hospice care when required, ensuring dignity and comfort for clients in their final stages of life.
