JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide essential support to individuals in assisted living and nursing home settings, as well as those with disabilities. This role involves assisting clients with daily activities, ensuring their comfort and safety, and promoting their overall well-being. REQUIREMENTS

• Experience in assisted living, nursing homes, or working with persons with disabilities is preferred.
• PSW certificate
• Covid-19 vaccine receipts
• Vulnerable sector check (6 months)
• TB test/Chest x-ray
• CPR certificate

• Assist clients with personal care tasks, including bathing, grooming, and dressing.
• Provide support in meal preparation and ensure dietary needs are met.
• Help clients with mobility and physical activities, including heavy lifting when necessary.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients by performing light housekeeping duties.
• Offer companionship and emotional support to enhance the quality of life for clients.
• Document client progress and report any changes in health or behavior to the appropriate personnel.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement care plans tailored to individual needs.
• Assist with hospice care when required, ensuring dignity and comfort for clients in their final stages of life.
