Position Overview We are seeking an experienced, self-motivated Personal Support Worker (PSW) with a strong background in community-based care. This role is ideal for someone who is flexible, reliable, and able to travel between client locations within North Scarborough and surrounding areas, including North York, Thornhill, Richmond Hill, and Vaughan/Woodbridge. Scheduling Requirements Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including short (1–2 hour) and longer shifts Availability for days, evenings, and overnight shifts Ability to work at least one weekend day Willingness to fill scheduling gaps as needed Must be able to commit to a consistent, ongoing weekly schedule Key Responsibilities Provide personal care in accordance with established care plans Support clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, grooming, toileting, and hygiene Assist with transfers, mobility, repositioning, and exercises Provide companionship and light housekeeping to support clients in remaining at home Prepare meals based on client and family preferences (including a variety of cuisines) Ensure client safety and proper use of equipment at all times Maintain accurate and timely documentation Work collaboratively with clients, families, and the care team while maintaining professional boundaries 2–5 years of PSW experience in community-based settings PSW certification from a recognized institution or international nursing/medical education Valid driver’s license and reliable access to a vehicle Ability to travel between client locations (rural/remote availability is an asset) Strong communication skills (verbal and written English) Experience with mechanical lifts in a home care setting Ability to work independently and as part of an interdisciplinary team Sound judgment and a strong commitment to safe, competent care Current registration with the Health and Supportive Care Providers Oversight Authority (HSCPOA) is an asset Additional Information The Care Company is committed to providing accommodations for individuals with disabilities throughout the hiring and onboarding process.
