OVERVIEW
Windsor Career College-Windsor Campus is looking for a Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) interested in joining our Windsor Campus team as a Personal Support Worker Instructor/Clinical Placement Supervisor.
This position is responsible for teaching the Personal Support Worker program for evening classes 4pm-8pm, providing supervision to the students while they are completing their practicums in the facility and community as per NACC Guidelines.
To be considered for this opportunity, you must possess a minimum of 2 years of practical experience working as a Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) or Registered Nurse (RN)
- Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) with current registration and no practice restrictions with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO).
- Minimum of two (2) years current, relevant work experience in a Canadian clinical environment, preferably in a long-term care/community/chronic care setting.
- Experience in dementia care, geriatric care, or a related field. Experience in teaching
- Relevant job role and ongoing relationship with recipients of GPA education sessions
- Completion of GPA-Certification (Preferred)
- Previous teaching experience is preferred. Intermediate MS Office skills are required.
- Excellent communication and organization skills along with a professional attitude.
- Strong organizational skills while being able to maintain high standards under pressure.
- Ability to adapt to change and remain flexible.
Essential Functions
- Deliver the curriculum through lecture, presentation, and use of a learning management software, Teams & Canva
- Instruct curriculum in both a classroom and clinical/lab settings
- Take daily attendance & follow up to ensure retention goals are met
- Record and submit grades to the appropriate person in a timely manner
- Be available for student support
- Participate in new student orientations as required
- Stay current on industry trends and maintain certification or licensure in the related field
- Exhibit professional and model behavior while on campus
- Treat all staff and students equally with respect, free from bias or discrimination
- Create and maintain an organized lesson plan
- Manage conflict between students through behavioral observation and early intervention
- Maintain communication with all departments
- Work with students who may require accommodations
- Other duties as requested by the Campus Manager

Pay: From $25.00 per hour
