Job Summary:
We are currently hiring a caring and reliable Personal Support Worker (PSW) to join our team in a Long-Term Care (LTC) setting. In this permanent role, the PSW will support residents with daily living activities, helping to ensure safety, dignity, and enhanced quality of life. The ideal candidate has a passion for seniors’ care and at least 1 year of hands-on experience in a healthcare or LTC environment.

Job Responsibilities:

• Assist residents with personal care including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
• Support mobility and transfers using proper techniques and equipment
• Provide companionship, emotional support, and help promote resident independence
• Assist with meal service and feeding as needed
• Observe and report changes in residents’ condition to nursing staff
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation
• Adhere to infection prevention, safety, and confidentiality protocols
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to a positive resident experience

Job Qualifications:

• PSW certificate from a recognized Ontario college or program (NACC or equivalent)
• Minimum 1 year of experience working in long-term care or senior living
• Knowledge of senior care practices, safety standards, and resident rights
• Compassionate, patient, and respectful with strong communication skills
• Ability to work well in a team and follow care plans and routines
• Must provide a recent Vulnerable Sector Check
• Must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 per public health guidelines
