THE IDEAL CANDIDATES WILL POSSESS:

• Knowledge of the Resident Bill of Rights
• Post secondary education in related care fields [e.g. Personal Support Worker (PSW), Health Care Aide (HCA)
• Able to work all shifts (days, evenings, nights, weekends, holidays)
• Excellent communication skills
• Time management
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions;
• Demonstrated empathy and understanding of the needs of seniors;
• Effective interpersonal relationship and conflict resolution skills;
• Ability to organize work and work under strict time constraints;

• Assists in formulation of plan of care with Nursing Supervisor
• Observes and promptly reports changes in a resident’s physical and emotional condition
• Maintains accurate documentation according to policy
• Reports all incidents promptly and accurately
• Assists in maintaining adequate nursing supplies
• Maintains work and storage areas in a clean, safe and sanitary manner;
• Performs resident care as documented in plan of care
• Performs other related duties as required.
