In addition, Yee Hong offers four campuses of managed care, a hospice residence, and a wide range of community-based senior and caregiver support services. The Personal Support Worker (PSW) will provide personal care to assist clients in their daily activities and personal hygiene. The PSW will support the clients’ physical, social and emotional needs in a safe manner, in accordance with the organization’s resident-centred approach, complying with relevant government standards, residents’ rights and the organizations mission and philosophy.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Graduate of an approved Personal Support Worker course in Ontario, or equivalent
  • Experience in long term care setting an asset
  • Current CPR Certificate
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to take initiative, problem solve and time manage
  • Ability to work independently as well as be an active, positive team player
  • Computer literacy
  • Ability to speak and converse in Chinese an asset
