EXCITING NEWS!!
Hurley Fitness in Ely is expanding - and we are looking for the right PT, with a cracking attitude, to join our established team
It’s my hope you have precisely what I need in a coach so I can take this advert down immediately, and put you to work in the fun and rewarding personal training position I have available.
So let me tell you about me, my company and the training position.
My name is Kevin Hurley and I run a personal training company called Hurley Fitness in Ely, Cambridgeshire.
My business is dedicated to helping men and women achieve their health and fitness goals through customised nutrition and fitness programmes.
And business is growing!
We are preparing to expand (actually double!) our business into a 2,000+ sq ft property, meaning we can impact even more people across Ely. And …. we are needing to bring in a PT that we can help to develop, grow and learn our training systems.
I’m looking for an enthusiastic, motivated and energetic person to start training some of our current members and who would like to grow with our company.
Our main service is indoor small group personal training sessions in Ely, CB6. These sessions take place Monday – Saturday.
We also offer one-on-one personal training programmes and nutritional guidance; within all of these we educate, motivate and support men and women to improve their health and fitness.
Most members begin with an initial 30 Day coaching package, which includes nutrition, exercise programme design, monthly fitness assessments, and regular weekly training sessions.
Bottom line: We are looking for a coach who as we move forward could potentially become a full time, employed team member.
THESE ARE THE SKILLS YOU MUST ALREADY HAVE IN ORDER TO QUALIFY FOR THIS POSITION:
You should have a REPs Level 3 Personal Trainer qualification. You do not need personal training experience, but you should have a working knowledge of health and fitness, and how to take members through a programme.
You will be talking with my members, who are VERY important to me. You must be comfortable conversing in-person and on the phone and know how to conduct yourself professionally, and deliver clear instructions to the members. I’ll teach you everything you need to do during a training session, but I can’t teach you manners and professionalism.
As mentioned above you must be very comfortable working with people. This is an exciting studio and you must be able to show our members energy and excitement while working with them.
BONUS SKILLS
If you have these additional skills, your resume will go right to the top of the stack (but if you don’t have these skills, you should still apply because these are not mandatory).
You’ll receive coaching and training on our fitness system and programmes, but you’ll have the flexibility to incorporate your training style and knowledge.
To ensure a client’s success and happiness in our programmes, you’ll be tasked with checking in one our members weekly to see what guidance and help they might need. No one needs help all the time but we let them know we are there, when needed, with simple, sustainable advice that will help them reach their goals
Every 12 weeks we run ‘personal best week’ when members can test their progress after their last block of training. We coach them safely through 5 strength and fitness tests. You do not need previous experience doing this, but if you do, that’s a bonus.
This is a big one. I need you to be able to provide proper coaching, instruction, and motivation during a client training session. You should have a working knowledge of the human body (i.e. muscles, movements, functions, etc.), and be able to provide appropriate exercises, plus progressions and regressions that relate to the member’s goals and fitness level.
