JOB SUMMARY

We are looking for a dedicated personal trainer to join our team as an independent contractor. The ideal candidate is passionate about working with seniors and committed to helping them reach their goals.
Generally, this role involves providing in-home training and support for clients living with chronic conditions, such as metabolic disorders (including diabetes), cardiovascular disease, musculoskeletal conditions (e.g., osteoporosis, osteoarthritis, joint replacements), stroke recovery, Parkinson’s disease, mild dementia, or more.
You will work closely with each client to create customized fitness plans, offering both guidance, humor and motivation along the way.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Fitness certification (NASM, ACE, ACSM, Functional Aging Institute, etc.), equivalent degree in Kinesiology, or experience as a Physical Therapist or Physical Therapy Assistant
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Organizational and detail-oriented skills
• Computer literate

• Design customized workout plans tailored to individual clients’ needs and goals
• Demonstrate exercises and ensure clients perform them with correct form to prevent injuries
• Motivate and encourage clients to achieve their fitness targets
• Monitor clients’ progress and make adjustments to their workout plans as needed
