About the Role Private Coaches help Members and Guests build strength, confidence, and a love of movement. As a Private Coach, you'll build your own training clientele, design personalized one-on-one and small-group programs, and support a community where everyone belongs. What You'll Do Build a personal training client base through one-on-one and small-group coaching Assess each client's fitness level and design safe, effective programs aligned with their goals Demonstrate exercises with proper form and provide clear, accurate instruction and cueing Develop encouraging, professional relationships with Members and provide ongoing motivation and support Conduct consultations with new Members and maintain regular follow-up with clients Operate all equipment safely and properly, and promptly report any issues Follow all Bouldering Project policies, procedures, and emergency protocols Participate in trainings, team meetings, and community events Requirements Required Qualifications Nationally accredited personal training certification (NSCA, ACSM, NASM, or ACE preferred) Current CPR/AED and First Aid certification Ability to assess fitness levels and build programs that recognize each client's potential and limitations Clear communication, mature judgment, and sound decision-making Observant, safety-conscious, and able to react calmly and quickly in an emergency Preferred Qualifications Four-year degree in Exercise Science or a related field Experience building a client base in a gym or studio setting We know not everyone will meet 100% of the qualifications.
