What you’ll do:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail oriented Personnel Security Administrator to support our Security Administration Office operations. You will be an essential part of our dynamic Security team, enabling the success of a wide range of security functions. Your role will encompass diverse responsibilities, from front-line customer service to behind-the-scenes administrative support.
In this position, you will have the opportunity to develop positive working relationships with both internal and external customers. The day-to-day:

  • Provide professional and courteous customer service to employees, contractors, and visitors.
  • Monitor and respond to inquiries in person or via Slack, Outlook mailbox, and future service desk platforms.
  • Track and resolve security-related support requests in a timely manner.
  • Facilitate onboarding processes.
  • Badge printing and access management.
  • Process lab and system access requests in accordance with security protocols.
  • Assist with visit request processing and clearance verification.
  • Support clearance and access documentation and tracking.
  • Maintain records for annual security briefings and ensure compliance.
  • Conduct fingerprinting for employees and local contractors.
  • Assist with scheduling, coordination, and check-in for customer visits and meetings.
  • Maintain inventory of Security Office supplies and reorder as necessary.
  • Perform additional related tasks as assigned by the Security Manager or FSO.

What you’ll need:

  • Associates degree or equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years in security role supporting a government contractor and industrial security.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft 365 apps—SharePoint, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and diligence.
  • Consistent track record of exceptional time management and timely project delivery.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and shift between tasks fluidly.
  • Demonstrates discretion, confidentiality, independent judgment, and integrity.
  • US Citizenship required.
  • Active Secret Clearance.

What will help you on the job:

  • Working knowledge and experience with SIMS, Lenel, and JIRA.
  • Familiarization of 32 CFR Part 117 NISPOM Rule.
  • Introduction to Industrial Security IS011.16.
  • Visits and Meetings in the NISP IS105.16.

Salary range: $59,000.00 - $93,500.00 / annually. For specific work locations within San Jose, the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, the base pay range for this role is $73,500.00- $110,500.00/ annually : At Viasat, we consider many factors when it comes to compensation, including the scope of the position as well as your background and experience. Base pay may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
