QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Education: Master’s degree or Ph.D. in Entomology, Biology, Environmental Science, Chemistry, or Agricultural Science or a related field. Additional business or innovation qualifications are advantageous.
  • Industry Experience: Minimum 7-10 years in pest control, agritech, life sciences, or a related sector, with at least 3 years in an innovation, product development, or technology leadership role.
  • Technical Acumen: Deep understanding of pest management methodologies, integrated pest management (IPM), pesticide chemistry, monitoring technologies, and regulatory frameworks.
  • Innovation Management: Demonstrated success in leading innovation processes such as design thinking, agile project management, and technology commercialization.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong quantitative and qualitative analytical abilities to assess market trends, technology feasibility, pilot results, and ROI.
  • Problem-Solving: Creative and pragmatic approach to solving complex challenges; ability to balance scientific rigor with operational realities.
  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to diverse audiences.
  • Collaboration: Proven record of working effectively in cross-functional and multicultural teams.

Responsibilities
  • Strategy Development: Formulate and execute a comprehensive innovation roadmap aligned with Rollins’ vision and market needs. Identify opportunities for differentiation and competitive advantage through disruptive technologies, business models, and operational processes.
  • Research & Development (R&D): Oversee the exploration, evaluation, and testing of new products, tools, and methods in pest control, including digital platforms, smart devices, automation, and environmentally friendly agents. Collaborate with R&D teams, universities, and technology partners to accelerate discovery and deployment.
  • Technology Scouting and Adoption: Continuously scan the market for emerging technologies such as IoT sensors, AI-driven monitoring, biopesticides, and precision application systems. Assess their relevance and feasibility, and drive pilot projects and trials.
  • Project Leadership: Lead cross-functional innovation projects from conception through to successful implementation. Ensure rigorous project management, risk assessment, stakeholder communication, and timely delivery of outcomes.
  • Sustainability & Regulatory Compliance: Integrate sustainability goals into innovation efforts, prioritizing eco-friendly solutions. Stay abreast of regulatory changes and ensure all initiatives comply with local, national, and international guidelines.
  • Customer-Centric Design: Champion the voice of the customer in all innovation activities, leveraging feedback, data analytics, and user experience research to shape product and service development.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Build relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including executive leadership, field teams, strategic supplier partners, regulators, and industry associations. Promote a culture of innovation and continuous improvement across the organization.
  • Thought Leadership: Represent Rollins at industry forums, conferences, and technical committees. Publish articles, white papers, and case studies demonstrating the company’s innovation leadership.
  • Talent Development: Mentor teams and foster a creative, collaborative environment. Identify skill gaps and facilitate upskilling in digital literacy, data analytics, and new pest control practices.
  • Data-Driven Decision Making: Use advanced analytics, field data, and customer insights to inform the innovation pipeline and measure the impact and ROI of new initiatives.
  • Accountable to Operational Support Group financial commitments including P&L and budget considerations.
