MINIMUM POSITION KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must be trained, certified, and have their health monitored IAW AFMAN 32-1053. All pesticide applicators shall be certified IAW DoDM 4150.07 and shall have an appropriate State or HN certification in the appropriate categories.
  • Receive non-Federal Insecticide, Fungicide, and Rodenticide Act training in accordance with DODI 4150.07 and the Ascension Final Governing Standard.
  • Applicators shall be certified IAW DoDM 4150.07 and shall have an appropriate State or HN certification in the appropriate categories.
  • Ability to read and write English is required.
  • Previous experience in a lead or supervisory role required.
  • Solid communications skills, strong interpersonal skills.
  • Strong ability to work and lead as a member of a diverse, dynamic team.
  • Outstanding problem-solving skills and sound judgment.
  • Requires sponsored by a MP-ICAM Trusted Agent with a favorable background check with current cybersecurity training.
  • Non-U.S. personnel will not be granted a U.S. Common Access Cards (CACs) and must follow procedures for badging and access to Government facilities or installations. Instead, non-US personnel are issued Network Enterprise Alternate Token (NEAT), which is a smart-card for accessing the unclassified AFNet or DoD network.
  • Candidate should be other country national (OCN) or local national (LN).
  • Possess a valid driver’s license, passport from their country have ability to obtain any visa required.
  • Ability to successfully pass contract medical requirements and maintain requirements for duration of deployment.
  • Prior overseas government contracting experience preferred.
Responsibilities

PURPOSE AND SCOPE:

Lead a diverse team to provide comprehensive and integrated pest management services for on Ascension Island Auxiliary Airfield (AAAF) IAW the applicable laws, codes, guidelines, criteria, and standards in support of the Air Force Contract Augmentation Program (AFCAP).

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Oversee the development of installation pest management plans, collect and report data on all installation pesticide use, and review contract specifications
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all installation pesticide compliance in accordance with AFMAN 32-1053 and DODI 4150.07, and the Ascension Island Final Governing Standards.
  • Perform a pro-active pest control program to include control of grubs, arthropods, termites (including in-wall, barrier treatments, and fumigation) and other insects, mold, “sick-building” syndrome, and animals in and around facilities and grounds IAW AFMAN 32-1053.
  • Maintain, repair, and replace fumigation tents and equipment as need to perform fumigation services of 440,000 (+/-10%) cubic feet per year.
  • Develop and review at least annually the AAAF Termite Treatment Plan.
