Description

One Stop Pet Services are seeking a dedicated and passionate Pet Carer/Dog Walker to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a love for animals and a commitment to providing exceptional care for our clients’ furry companions.
As a member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the well-being of dogs during their walks, providing them with exercise, socialisation, and companionship while maintaining a safe environment.
The role will also consist of caring for other animals, including cats, chickens and reptiles.

SKILLS

  • Strong knowledge of animal care practices and behaviours.
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting when required, such as lifting large dog crates or supplies.
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • A genuine love for animals and a commitment to their welfare.
  • Good organisational skills to manage schedules and appointments efficiently.
    We do require the successful candidate to hold an in date DBS check.
    This position is for maternity cover with the potential of a full-time position for the correct candidate

Responsibilities
  • To hold a Full UK Driving licence, with a suitable vehicle to transport dogs. You would be reqired to change your insurance to business use.
  • Walk dogs in various weather conditions, ensuring their safety and comfort at all times.
  • Provide proper care for each dog, including feeding, grooming, and administering medications if necessary.
  • Maintain clear communication with members of staff regarding the dog’s behaviour and any concerns that may arise during walks.
  • Clean up after dogs during walks to maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the community.
  • Report any health or behavioural issues to us promptly.
  • Foster positive relationships with dogs
