Jefferson Outpatient Imaging is seeking a qualified PET/CT technologist for a PRN position in our center city Philadelphia location on the campus of Jefferson Hospital. Weekend shifts are 730a to 230p and weekday shifts are available as needed. We are a busy multi-modality center dedicated to providing high quality imaging services and patient care. JOB SUMMARY: Under the direction of the Radiology Medical Director, the PET/CT technologist: Administers radioactive material to patients for diagnostic, therapeutic or research purposes & operates a positron emission technology (PET) and a computerized tomography scanner (CT) at the request of and for interpretation by a licensed independent practitioner. Ensures services are performed in a safe environment in accordance with established guidelines and regulatory requirements. Serves as part of the imaging center team and seeks as well as provides feedback for improved clinical practice. Requirements EXPERIENCE: Up to 5 years experience as a PET/CT Technologist EDUCATION: Must be a graduate of an accredited Nuclear Medicine program. LICENSE/CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: Must be certified by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist as an ARRT-N or Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board as a CNMT. Must maintain a current valid registration from either ARRT or CNMT. Additionally, must meet the state licensure requirement for the state in which they practice. SKILLS/ABILITIES: Skill in operation of PET/CT equipment as well as applicable ancillary equipment. Ability to work independently and multitask. Ability to provide documentation accurately and concisely. Demonstrates understanding of human cross-sectional anatomy, physiology, pathology, radiopharmacology, and medical terminology.
