Job Title: Pet Retail and E-Commerce Assistant
We are a small family owned pet store in the heart of Sandgate. We pride ourselves on excellent customer service and top- quality products. We offer a variety of pet supplies from toys, food accessories and grooming essentials.
We are looking for an enthusiastic person to join our team on a casual or part-time basis as a Retail Assistant. The position is for 15-32 hours a week, working 2-5 days (flexible to meet the schedule of the right candidate). This will include weekends. You will play a key role in delivering a positive customer experience within the store. You will be responsible for excellent customer service, maintaining store cleanliness, stocking shelves and processing our online store orders.

SKILLS WE ARE LOOKING FOR IN A NEW RETAIL ASSISTANT:

• Experience or strong interest in the pet/vet/animal industry
• Confidently speak to and help customers
• Fast, accurate and takes initiative
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask effectively
• Strong attention to detail
• Understanding of retail
• Ability to work unsupervised
• Must be able to life/ move products up to 25kgs

ADVANTAGEOUS SKILLS BUT NOT ESSENTIAL

• Basic knowledge of Excel
• Basic HTML
• Graphic Design
• Retail Experience
  Retail or animal industry experience is not required by applicants. Must be willing to learn while also taking their own initiative. Training will be provided.
  You will be working with a positive team of people as well as dealing with a very friendly local customer base. We will have a list of day to day duties that are required to be completed.
