Mars has an exciting opportunity for you to join Royal Canin as the Pet Specialty Retail (PSR) Customer Marketing Lead, reporting to the Pet Specialty Retail Director.
In this leadership role, you will inspire and empower a high-performing team of customer marketers, driving customer engagement, commercial impact, and strategic partnerships through data-driven marketing and strong leadership. Your influence will be essential in shaping long-term business success.
You’ll collaborate closely with key retailers, sales leads, and our new eCommerce role to drive business performance, innovation, and strengthen market leadership in the pet specialty retail sector.

What would be your key responsibilities?

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of four customer marketers, fostering a culture of performance, accountability, and innovation.
  • Drive a mindset shift - moving from traditional marketing execution to a data-driven, results-focused approach.
  • Develop and execute customer marketing plans that deliver measurable business impact, moving beyond traditional marketing activities.
  • Enhance digital & in-store marketing activations, optimizing for conversion and brand alignment.
  • Build strategic partnerships with leading Australian and New Zealand based PSR Retailers, ensuring tailored marketing initiatives that align with their business strategies.
  • Work closely with sales leads and the eCommerce team to identify growth opportunities and enhance digital performance.
  • Introduce a stronger data-driven approach to customer marketing, ensuring that all initiatives are linked to clear performance metrics and ROI.
  • Play a key role in shaping the long-term strategy for PSR, participating in strategic planning discussions and influencing future growth plans.
