Job Summary:
We are seeking a full-time Store Manager to lead our Fairfax location. At Pet Evolution, “Our mission is to help pets live the good life by providing the highest quality food, treats and grooming services.”
As the Store Leader, you will reflect our Company mission in everything you do. This position is performed under direct supervision of the owner.
You must be passionate about helping pets, providing superb customer service, and capable of inspiring coworkers to do the same. You must be outgoing, friendly and helpful. Experience in customer service in the pet industry is preferred.
Qualifications and skills:
- Associates and/or bachelor’s degree in business administration or related field is desired
- 5+ years of retail supervisory and/or management experience
- Point of sale knowledge
- Strong understanding of sales and customer service
- Ability to work within a defined budget and drive business growth
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (positive, upbeat, helpful)

Responsibilities:

• Supervising and leading team members (Assistant Manager, Wellness Associates, Groomers, Bathers & Mobile Van Technicians)
• Providing leadership and training to ensure all team members consistently uphold Pet Evolution’s customer service standards in every guest interaction
• Inspiring and motivating the team to foster a positive and enjoyable work environment
• Overseeing day-to-day operations, including the effective management of controllable costs to maintain profitability
• Work with vendors on promotions and set up contests to achieve sales growth goals
• Managing inventory and ensuring optimal inventory control
• Handling the hiring and training of new employees
• All staff scheduling
• Overseeing the opening and closing of the store, performing daily reconciliation, managing cash handling and bank deposits
• Maintaining store appearance
• Monitoring and reporting on store performance
• Continually educate yourself about pets, pet products, and services

Physical requirements:
- Ability to lift +/- 50 pounds on a regular basis in order to stock the store and to do carryout for customers

Time Commitment:
Managers are hired with a minimum work commitment of 40 hours per seven-day work week. You must be willing and able to work evenings and weekends on a regular basis as these are our busiest times. You must be able to fill in with little or no notice.

Pay: $65,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
