Requirements:

  • Fluency in both English and Spanish (written and spoken) is required
  • Exceptional Spanish-language writing skills
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and time management abilities

Responsibilities
  • Provide administrative support, including filing and record keeping, form submissions, date tracking and reminders, financial reporting, travel booking, and other tasks as assigned
  • Schedule and organize meetings, and take accurate, detailed meeting notes
  • Organize celebrity mailings and gifts, and maintain detailed records of public figure interactions, media contacts, news releases, and media coverage
  • Maintain our digital organizational system
  • Utilize software to push media communications and build lists
  • Correspond and compose communications (such as thank you notes) to reporters and high-profile figures
  • Draft talking points, letters to celebrities and media, ad copy, and other written materials as assigned
  • Assist in organizing celebrity and influencer projects, including photo shoots, and the production and editing of print, radio, TV, and social media campaigns
  • Represent PETA Latino at events, on set, and in meetings to build and strengthen relationships with talent, their teams, and other industry professionals
  • Perform research to identify outreach opportunities and stay current on Latino popular culture and trends. Research celebrities and influencers with strong followings and help develop creative strategies to engage them.
  • Monitor current events and news stories relevant to Latinos and Latin America to identify timely outreach opportunities
  • Support the Senior Translator and Associate Director of PETA Latino Communications, as well as the Director, and SVP of Communications, with program-specific responsibilities and other duties as assigned

The hourly pay range for this position is $15.91 - $21.38 per hour. The ultimate hourly pay within this range that will be offered to a qualified candidate will be determined based on the candidate’s experience and the cost of living in the area in which the candidate will live and work.
