Team-Oriented: We collaborate with each other and with our clients.
We currently have a role available for a Phage Display Scientist.

Job duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Execute phage panning campaigns against a range of protein targets, including challenging and conformationally dynamic antigens; design and construct immune phage display libraries from Llama and bovine samples.
  • Proven expertise in phage display, including library construction, panning, and binder screening
  • Experience displaying peptides, antibodies, Fab, and/or Fv are preferrable.
  • Proficient in phage ELISA and binding validation techniques; perform phage ELISA and related binding assays to screen and validate hits.
  • Analyze sequencing data from enriched libraries to identify high-affinity and/or conformationally selective binders.
  • Familiarity with next-generation sequencing (NGS) analysis of phage libraries is preferred but experience of Sanger sequencing may suffice.
  • Optimize selection strategies to enrich for binders with desired biophysical or functional properties.
  • Experience with BLI (Octet) or SPR for affinity and kinetics characterization; background in antibody or VHH engineering and downstream development; and experience in working with diverse target classes, including membrane proteins or conformational epitopes, are all desirable.
  • Contribute to innovation efforts in library design, selection methodology, and downstream screening technologies.

    • Solid molecular biology skills, including cloning, mutagenesis, and construct design is a must
  • Strong experience with immune and/or naïve antibody or peptide libraries would be advantageous.
  • Maintain accurate records of experimental design, results, and interpretations in electronic lab notebooks.

Job requirements include, but are not limited to:

  • M.S. or PhD with 3+ years of relevant experience; industrial experience would be advantageous.
  • Thorough understanding of the theory of above-mentioned techniques.
  • Team player mentality with strong written and verbal communication skills. Will be required to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams including structural biology, molecular biology, biochemistry, and biophysics.
  • The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic and self-motivated, with the leadership and communication skills necessary to operate effectively in a fast-paced multidisciplinary environment with flexibility and an adaptable approach to goal delivery.
