Phantom Works Manufacturing Engineer (Composite Fabrication) Company: The Boeing Company The Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) Phantom Works team is seeking an Experienced or Senior Composites Fabrication Manufacturing Engineer located in Hazelwood, MO. Position Responsibilities Develops and implements production and tooling methodologies. Participates on Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) to integrate technical solutions across multiple disciplines. Develops, identifies and implements conceptual designs and maintains the program architecture for build. Leads and implements manufacturing plans. Conducts producibility and variation analyses to ensure that manufacturing process capability matches requirements. Assists in providing producibility information for inclusion in project plans and helps document producibility best practices. Analyzes design/build concepts to evaluate producible design/build definitions. Resolves technical problems of significant impact to performance, cost or schedule. Coordinates and implements new engineering principles, theories, advanced technologies and concepts. Validates and ensures production readiness of solutions to complex problems. Implements lean principles and technologies. This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship as a condition of employment. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required. This position requires the ability to obtain program access, for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship only. Basic Qualifications (Required Skills and Experience): Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science. 5+ years of related work experience with a Bachelors OR an equivalent combination of technical education and experience. Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills and Experience): Level 4: 9+ years of related work experience with a Bachelors OR an equivalent combination of technical education and experience. Experience in composite aerospace manufacturing and associated tooling, inspection and testing methodologies with emphasis on large scale prototyping applications Experience with Model Based Engineering tools Experience with creation of manufacturing planning and authoring assembly work instructions Experience with aerospace new product development and prototyping Experience with NX/Unigraphics CAD and Teamcenter PDM systems for design interrogation, manufacturing planning development and tooling design review Experience implementing lean manufacturing principles in a production system Experience in planning and developing product quality by applying APQP and PFMEA Experience leading and collaborating within a multi-disciplinary engineering environment Ability to collaborate with both the engineering work force and the mechanics on the factory floor Engineering design or manufacturing engineering experience Shift: This position is for 1st Shift Relocation: This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility.
