We are currently in search of an experienced Part Time Pharmacist for our brand new location in Fredericksburg, VA later this year. The Pharmacist at Kolmac Integrated Behavioral Health and all its subsidiaries ("Kolmac" or the "Company") is responsible for the maintenance of a controlled substance inventory, dispensing medication, and caring for patients diagnosed with substance use disorders. The Pharmacist is involved in initiating medical therapy and ongoing monitoring for ongoing efficacy, and safety. Responsibilities Approximately 10 -12 hours per week Prepares and verifies medications by reviewing and interpreting physician orders; detecting therapeutic incompatibilities and ensuring safety and accuracy Makes decisions regarding generic substitution of prescribed pharmaceuticals Consults with patients and/or medical practitioners on drug indications/contraindications, dosage, drug interactions, and side effects; provides other drug and pharmaceutical information as appropriate Properly manages inventories, including orders, returns, destructions, correct on hand supply, annual inventories and accurate record keeping. Inventory will be accounted for and reconciled daily Provides education, guidance and training to students, nurses, pharmacy techs, and trainees during work and monitors performance Establishes and maintains methods and manner of storage and record keeping systems to provide for safekeeping of pharmaceuticals Assists and participates in audits and investigations with the Board of Pharmacy, DEA and other regulatory agencies that oversee the OTP pharmacy Performs routine quality control testing of equipment, environment and record keeping as required by federal, state, and local regulations Maintains current working knowledge of substance abuse disorders and treatment Follows established departmental policies, procedures, and objectives, continuous quality improvement objectives, and safety, environmental, and/or infection control standards Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned Other duties as assigned Qualifications Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) from an ACPE-accredited school of pharmacy Active, unrestricted Pharmacist License in the Commonwealth of Virginia No history of drug or alcohol misuse for a period of 3 years before employment At least 6 months of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified Ability to maintain quality, safety, and/or infection control standards Knowledge of clinical operations and procedures Skill in the use of personal computers and related software applications Knowledge of related accreditation and certification requirements Knowledge of policies and regulations pertaining to the disbursement of pharmaceutical drugs Prior experience in Behavioral Health including MOUD and Substance Use Disorders We Offer Competitive Compensation Full Benefits: Medical/Dental/Vision Life Insurance 401K Tuition Reimbursement Paid Professional Development Time Student Loan Repayment Program Paid Vacation Time And More!
