Patient Care Serves patients by preparing medications and giving pharmacological information to multidisciplinary health care teams Monitoring patient drug therapies Controls medications by monitoring drug therapies and advising interventions. Completes pharmacy operationsal requirements by organizing and directing the workflow of Pharmacy Technicians by verifying their preparation and labeling of pharmaceuticals, and verifying order entries, charges, and inspections. Provides pharmacological information by answering questions and requests of health care professionals and counseling patients on drug therapies. Compliance Complies with state and federal drug laws as regulated by the state board of pharmacy the drug enforcement administration, and the food and drug administration by monitoring nursing unit inspection. Maintains records for controlled substances and removed outdated and damaged drugs from the pharmacy inventory Supervisors the work results of support personnel. Maintains current registration, studies existing and new legislation, anticipated legislation and advises management on needed actions. Protects patients, technicians and other personnel by adhering to infection-control protocols. Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules and regulations. Customer Service Consult with multidisciplinary teams at facility locations. Demonstrate genuine care of patients Ensure accurate delivery of pharmaceuticals Provide and ensure exceptional customer service to all customers, internal and external. Requirements Experience 1-3 years working in pharmacy setting. 1-3 Previous working or relatable experience in Long Term Care; Skilled Nursing or Infusion Pharmacy preferred. Education Graduate of an accredited school of pharmacy Bachelor’s Degree in related field Preferred Licensure Valid California Pharmacist License
