Description Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) Pay: $70.00 - $80.00/hr (based on number of active licenses) Benefits: 401(k), Medical, Dental, Vision, Supplemental Insurance About the Role Curexa is seeking an experienced Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) to lead pharmacy operations and ensure full compliance with state and federal regulations. This role is responsible for overseeing daily pharmacy activities, supervising staff, maintaining licensure and regulatory standards, and supporting operational growth across multiple states. The PIC plays a critical leadership role in patient safety, quality assurance, and regulatory excellence. Responsibilities Serve as Pharmacist in Charge, ensuring compliance with the NJ Board of Pharmacy, federal regulations, and company SOPs. Accurately dispense prescriptions and provide patient counseling on medication use, interactions, and storage. Supervise, train, and evaluate pharmacy staff, fostering a culture of safety, accuracy, and professionalism. Ensure compliance with USP 795/800, FDA 503A, and controlled substance regulations. Manage inventory, ordering, controlled substances, and required documentation. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized pharmacy environment. Act as a regulatory point of contact during inspections and audits. Deliver exceptional customer service and resolve escalated patient or operational issues. Requirements Education: BS or PharmD from an ACPE-accredited pharmacy program. Licensure: Active Pharmacist license in good standing (AZ required). Multiple state licenses strongly preferred, or willingness to obtain and maintain additional licenses as business needs require. Experience: 3–5+ years of retail, independent, compounding, or clinical pharmacy experience preferred. Prior Pharmacist in Charge or leadership experience strongly preferred. Skills: Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills. Proficiency in pharmacy systems and third-party billing. Strong attention to detail and ability to perform pharmacy math accurately. Physical & Schedule Requirements Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. Ability to work 8–10 hour shifts in a fast-paced environment. Flexibility to support coverage needs and operational demands as required.
