Key Responsibilities The Pharmacist-in-Charge is a pharmacist licensed in the Commonwealth of Kentucky, who accepts responsibility for the operation of a pharmacy in conformance with all the laws and administrative regulations pertinent to the practice of pharmacy and the distribution of prescription drugs and who is personally in full and actual charge of the pharmacy”. * Quality assurance programs for pharmacy services. * · Employment of staff pharmacies. * · Schedule of hours of pharmacy * · Making and/or filing reports required by state or federal laws and regulations * · Managing day to day pharmacy operations including filling prescriptions, interacting with drug manufacturer representatives, purchasing necessary medications, inventory control, preparing necessary reports, budgets and plans, and assuring appropriate controls. * Works with the CEO, CFO, COO, and Chief Pharmacy Officer to prepare necessary reports and budgets, plans, and assuring proper controls and security measures are in place and maintained. * Interacts with Prescribers, clinical staff and other pharmacist as needed to answer questions regarding prescription information, refills and transferred prescriptions. * Provides general supervision to professional and para-professional Pharmacy staff and carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with HealthFirst Bluegrass, Inc. policies and applicable laws. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmacy AND 5 years of ambulatory care pharmacy experience AND 1-year supervisory experience. OR PharmD AND 2 years’ experience as a pharmacist AND 1 year supervisory experience Dayshift.
