JOB DESCRIPTION Position Title: Pharmacist Location: Assigned Pharmacy Location Status: Exempt/Salaried Reports To: Pharmacy Director Direct Reports: Pharmacy Technicians POSITION SUMMARY As a Pharmacist at Kintegra Health, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality, patient-centered care. This position is responsible for preparing and dispensing medications, conducting comprehensive Medication Therapy Management (MTM), and providing pharmacological expertise to multidisciplinary healthcare teams. You will monitor patient drug therapies, counsel patients, collaborate with providers, and oversee pharmacy operations including inventory, personnel, and compliance. This role emphasizes clinical engagement, documentation, and a commitment to accessible, community-based healthcare. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES * Dispensing & Operational * Accurately and safely fill prescriptions * Maintain proper filing of CII–V prescriptions * Manage perpetual inventory records for CII medications * Remove outdated, damaged, or recalled merchandise and prepare for return * Document and report dispensing incidents per protocol * Ensure compliance with federal/state laws and internal procedures * Oversee cash management and transaction accuracy * Train and develop pharmacy technicians * Participate in audits and maintain readiness for inspections CLINICAL * Conduct MTM and adherence interventions using platforms such as Outcomes MTM, EQUIPP, and Aledade * Monitor drug regimens for safety, efficacy, and cost-effectiveness * Identify and resolve drug-related problems including interactions and contraindications * Provide consultations to patients and healthcare providers * Participate in multidisciplinary rounds and clinic team meetings * Document clinical interventions in Epic and other designated platforms * Support MAP (CRA Team) and replenishment programs (Merck and Direct Relief) * Educate patients on medication administration, self-monitoring, and adherence strategies * Collaborate with providers to optimize therapeutic outcomes and chronic disease management * Contribute to development of evidence-based protocols and medication safety initiatives * Serve as a resource for therapeutic alternatives and medication management LEADERSHIP & COLLABORATION * Conduct weekly rounding with clinical staff for collaboration and consultation * Utilize certified pharmacy technicians to support clinical workflows * Precept pharmacy students and contribute to staff development * Provide input to Clinical Oversight and Pharmacy & Therapeutics (P&T) Committees * Demonstrate leadership and uphold standards of pharmacy excellence and compliance MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS * Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) or Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy * Unrestricted Pharmacy License in North Carolina * Three years of pharmacy experience preferred * Proficiency in Microsoft Office and pharmacy software systems * Strong verbal and written communication skills * Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team * Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and critical thinking abilities * Commitment to confidentiality and cultural sensitivity * Prior experience in FQHC or public health preferred KINTEGRA CORE VALUES * Patient First: Prioritize the well-being and preferences of patients * Build Not Blame: Focus on improving systems rather than assigning fault * Integrity & Honesty: Act with transparency, fairness, and accountability * Cooperation & Flexibility: Work collaboratively as part of a supportive team * Cultural Sensitivity: Respect and understand diverse backgrounds ORGANIZATIONAL GOALS Provide comprehensive and accessible primary care to individuals and families of all economic levels Promote health maintenance and deliver timely diagnostics, treatment, and referrals Emphasize preventive care through patient and community education Collaborate with community providers to deliver cost-effective, patient-centered care WHY KINTEGRA HEALTH?
